What he does

Yeray Selva Vallejo is the founder and CEO of MineX, a network of Minecraft servers where the items a player earns are minted on Solana into a wallet the player actually owns, and can then be traded with other players for real money. He leads product direction, the design of the on-chain economy, and fundraising. He started the company on his own; Roberto Porfidia Coll joined as co-founder a few months later to run community and growth.

MineX runs on unmodified Minecraft Java Edition — no mod, no launcher, no browser wallet extension — which is a deliberate constraint rather than a technical accident. The economy is built so that money circulates between players and the network takes a fee, instead of the server being the only seller. He has written the public explanation of both the economic model and the infrastructure behind it.

Before MineX

Minecraft server development, 2013–2021

Eight years building and operating Minecraft servers professionally, on the Java side: plugins, game systems, and the economies that sit under them. This is the part of the background that matters most to what MineX is, because a real in-game economy is a server-engineering problem long before it is a blockchain problem.

Earncraft, 2021–2023

Founded and ran Earncraft, a blockchain-integrated Minecraft project based in Corby, United Kingdom. Earncraft raised over $160,000 on Unicrypt and reached a fully diluted market capitalisation of $95 million. It is where the thesis behind MineX was first tested at scale, including the parts that did not work.

RetroCraft, 2023–2025

Ran RetroCraft between Earncraft and MineX, continuing to work on Minecraft servers with player-owned value as the central question.

In the Solana ecosystem

• Superteam Japan — member since September 2025.
• Solana Foundation — MineX is a grant recipient.
• DreamNet Solana Hackathon — winner.
• CypherPunk bounty, College.xyz and Colosseum — won in November 2025. The prize funded the trip to Solana Breakpoint in Abu Dhabi.
• Blockchain Game Alliance — MineX was accepted as a member in July 2026, alongside members including Animoca Brands, Ubisoft, Polygon Labs and The Sandbox.

Conferences and ecosystem events

MineX has been built largely in Asia, and most of its ecosystem relationships were made in person. In date order:

• 18–20 February 2025 · Hong Kong Consensus Hong Kong 2025

  The first Consensus held outside North America in five years, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with roughly 8,000 attendees and more than 350 side events across the week.

• 3 July 2025 · Hong Kong MetaEra BTCFi Summit

  Attended the BTCFi summit in Hong Kong, continuing to build out the Asian side of the network.

• August 2025 · Tokyo, Japan Startup Village, Superteam Japan

  A full week at Superteam Japan's Startup Village programme in Tokyo. Quieter than a conference and more useful: this is where he met GameShift, Burger Bob and Boshi, several of whom he still works with, and where the relationship with Superteam Japan was actually formed.

• 11–13 December 2025 · Abu Dhabi, UAE Solana Breakpoint 2025, Etihad Arena

  Attended with co-founder Roberto Porfidia Coll, on a trip funded by the CypherPunk bounty. The two of them worked the main hall in Minecraft costume for most of the event, handing out merchandise, and ended up featured in Solana's official "Relentless execution." recap posted by the @solana account on 12 December 2025.

• 10–12 February 2026 · Hong Kong Consensus Hong Kong 2026 and Solana Accelerate

  Attended Consensus Hong Kong and Solana Accelerate, the Solana Foundation day held inside it on 11 February 2026 in collaboration with CoinDesk.

• 20–23 April 2026 · Hong Kong Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026

  At the festival at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and at a private event during it, where he met Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation.

• 3–6 June 2026 · Karuizawa, Japan Startup Village in Karuizawa

  An invitation-only Superteam Japan gathering where founders pitched to Japanese institutions — banks and corporates representing an enormous amount of revenue between them — and where founders played piano before pitching. This is also where the Solana Foundation relationships behind the MineX grant were carried forward in person.
